			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Language seems to prove evolution an incorrect theory, as it becomes less and less fit over time.  Here are seven reasons we should remove &#8220;blog&#8221; from our language</p>
<p>1. It sounds like you have lots of cheese in your mouth when you say it<br />
2. It wasn&#8217;t in the dictionary I used at college<br />
3. Some words sound stupid after you repeat them ten times &#8211; &#8220;blog&#8221; sounds stupid right from the start<br />
4. It is a four-letter word<br />
5. It is one of those annoying words that gets used as a noun and a verb (see also &#8220;antique&#8221;, as in &#8220;let&#8217;s go antiquing&#8221; &#8211; what?!)<br />
6. It has also been used as a root for other annoying words (Example #1 &#8211; &#8220;blogger&#8221;, which sounds perilously similar to &#8220;booger&#8221; and Example #2 &#8211; and my all-time least favorite quasi-word, &#8220;blogosphere&#8221;)<br />
7. What would be wrong with just saying &#8220;web site&#8221; (as in &#8220;Check out my web site&#8221;)</p>
